My Top Two Spot Treatments For Blemishes & Breakouts

Throughout the years, I have tried a few different products that are designed for spot treating blemishes, but for the most part they have all been duds. Thankfully, I have finally found two products that actually work and have become my holy grails for blemish defense!

ZO Complexion Clearing Masque

The first product I want to share with you, is the COMPLEXION CLEARING MASQUE by ZO Skin Health. This little blue potion is my all time favorite face masks and one of my top two faves for spot treatment. I use this mask all over my face in my regular routine, and after noticing how fast the mask helped with breakouts, I started using it as a spot treatment as well.

For application, after I have cleansed my skin I take a small amount of product on my finger (clean hands of course) or a clean q-tip and apply a thin dot on the affected area or areas and then I sleep with it on! This way the mask is working with my skin, as it is already powered up and ready to regenerate and repair itself while I sleep.

HanHoo Blemish Patches

Moving on to my ultimate fave. The non-medicated hydrocolliod blemish patches by the brand HanHoo are literal LIFE SAVERS. I know that may sound a little dramatic but I am obsessed. These patches are only a few bucks and you can get them at Walmart in the skincare isle! I have found these extremely helpful to not only prevent a blemish from rising but also zapping blemishes that have already broken the surface. I also love these patches because they are translucent, so it’s super easy to wear these during the day while you are working or running errands.

Also, to be totally real with you guys I do have my moments where I pick at my skin and sometimes that can cause little skin abrasions. I am not proud of it, but it’s just the truth and because these are hydrocolloid patches, they create a moist (worst word in the english language) environment under the patch that promotes skin healing and thus have saved me from some potentially nasty scabs.

Buuuttt… me admitting my wrong doings does not mean it is okay to pick at your face! It is never a good idea and it is simply just not worth it. With that said, I am also very aware that we are only human so if you do make the mistake of picking at your skin, these are great to have on hand(:

I hope y’all enjoyed reading about some of my necessity products and if you do decide to try any of these, I would love to hear your experience and if you love them as much as I do!

xoxo!
